From Our Table to Yours

At Rhubarb, everything we do is rooted in a passion for exceptional ingredients that tell a story and the joy of sharing food around the table. This Christmas, we wanted to share a gift that reflects those values, celebrating flavour and the craft of the people who make it. This year's gift is a bottle of handcrafted olive oil from the sunshine hills of Puglia, on an olive grove that has been passed down through generations of the family of our Senior Creative, Flaminia.

Each bottle is finished in a beautifully designed Surrey Ceramics vessel, created exclusively for Rhubarb and made to be treasured long after the last drop is poured.

From Grove to Gift

Nestled in the countryside of Conversano, Bari, the family grove is home to 148 Coratine olive trees, including 18 that are centuries old. Harvested between November and January, the olives are picked by a small team using gentle, traditional methods that protect the health of every tree. They are then cold-pressed in a stone mill with a large granite wheel, preserving the natural antioxidants and the vibrant character that define true extra-virgin olive oil.

For over 45 years, each harvest has been a testament to patience and craft, which mirror our own approach to food and hospitality. Just as our chefs thoughtfully design menus and experiences for every guest, this olive oil embodies the artistry and care we champion in everything we create.

Recipes

To mark this year’s gift, our Executive Chef Kieran and Group Executive Pastry Chef Daniel have created two simple recipes, one sweet, one savoury, designed to showcase the olive oil at its finest. These dishes highlight the richness and freshness of this exceptional harvest, bringing a touch of Puglia to the heart of your festive table.
