Skywalker Grill Opens at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art
A new chapter for Rhubarb has landed in Los Angeles as Skywalker Grill opens its doors
Founded by George Lucas and Mellody Hobson, the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art celebrates the power of visual storytelling and explores how images shape culture, memory and imagination.
Designed by Ma Yansong of MAD and set within Los Angeles’ Exposition Park, the museum brings together more than 40,000 works spanning painting, illustration, comics and cinematic art. Alongside its galleries are spaces for learning, dining and events, with Skywalker Grill forming part of this wider experience and bringing Rhubarb’s hospitality to the museum.
Set at the top of the museum, Skywalker Grill is a new dining destination that combines hospitality and modern American dining with sweeping views of Los Angeles, operated exclusively by Rhubarb Hospitality Collection.
Inspired by the welcoming spirit of George Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch, the restaurant offers a relaxed yet elevated setting for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.

At the heart of Skywalker Grill is a menu our culinary team created specifically for this new Los Angeles destination.
Drawing on California’s produce and modern American flavours, the team has brought together fire-grilled favourites and seasonal dishes, showcasing locally sourced ingredients throughout. Highlights include squash tempura, ricotta tortellini, grilled salmon and the Skywalker Ranch wagyu burger.
This approach carries through to the drinks programme, with a carefully curated wine list featuring leading California producers, including selections from Skywalker Vineyards, alongside a creative cocktail programme.
