Dinner in Hintze Hall at The Natural History Museum
A Landmark Celebration at Natural History Museum
Hintze Hall at the Natural History Museum was transformed into a spectacular setting as 400 guests gathered for Noteworthy’s 40th anniversary celebration. Bringing together leading travel professionals from the UK and the US, the evening marked a milestone moment with a seamless blend of British heritage, large-scale production, and refined hospitality.
A Refined Drinks Reception
Guests were welcomed with a drinks reception across Fossil Way and Hintze Hall, setting the tone for the evening. As guests were called to dinner, the Welsh Guards paraded through the hall, followed by the UK and US national anthems. An introduction and welcome speeches set the stage for the evening, leading into a Noteworthy film that celebrated the company’s 40-year journey.
A Collaborative Dining Experience
Dinner showcased a collaborative menu created by Rhubarb’s chefs alongside Nick Beardshaw of Starling Bistro - a Michelin star neighbourhood bistro. Beardshaw is the Great British Menu winner 2023. His cooking celebrates the best of British produce with a strong focus on provenance and sustainability, brought to life through a contemporary yet approachable style.
A Three-Course Dining Experience
Guests began with marinated Datterini tomatoes paired with La Latteria stracciatella, cheddar pastry, and basil pesto, while a vibrant salmorejo with lovage and broad bean mojo verde offered a fresh vegan alternative.
For the main course, Fosse Meadows chicken was served with wild garlic, heritage carrots, pomme Anna, asparagus, and a rich Vin Jaune sauce.
To finish, guests were served “Comet C” - a striking chocolate and malt baked Alaska with Morello cherry, lemon thyme, and kirsch. Originally created for BBC’s Great British Menu and now featured at Starling, the dish is inspired by astronomer Caroline Herschel - the first professional female scientist - with its presentation reflecting her discovery as a celebrated “comet hunter”. A theatrical and memorable finale to the evening.
