Fighting Food Waste with Purpose: Our Partnership with The Felix Project

At Rhubarb Hospitality Collection, we believe thoughtful hospitality extends far beyond the events we create. It’s woven into everything we do, from the way we treat our guests to the way we support our communities. That’s why we’re proud to be partnering with The Felix Project, working towards a London where no good food goes to waste, and no one goes hungry.

About The Felix Project

The Felix Project is London’s largest food redistribution charity, dedicated to stopping food waste and fighting hunger. Every day in London, 1.5 million adults struggle to afford food. The Felix Project rescues surplus food from across the food industry, produce that can’t be sold but is still perfectly good to eat, and delivers it to hundreds of food banks, community groups, schools, and holiday programmes across the city.

In 2024 alone, 50% of all rescued food was delivered directly to organisations in the top five most deprived neighbourhoods in London, ensuring support reaches those who need it most.

But the challenge is far from over. With the continued rise in living costs, many working families in London are still struggling. One in four working parents regularly faces difficulty feeding their families. Partner organisations across the capital report rising demand and ongoing pressure to meet basic food needs.

Our Contribution So Far

Through our involvement with The Felix Project’s Green Scheme, Rhubarb donates surplus food from select locations to be redistributed across London. From January to March 2025, we donated the equivalent of 2,270 meals, that’s 0.95 tonnes of food redirected from waste and into the hands of those who need it most.

We’re incredibly proud to support the incredible work of The Felix Project and to play our part in building a more sustainable, compassionate London.
